Romeo y Julieta Tango

Notes of the show<>

For twelve dancers and a quartet of musicians

A show inspired by the well known shakespearean tragedy. Contemporary dance and tango interact to give birth to an increasingly compelling show, featuring fantastic dancers and “argentinian tangueros”.

The show is foreseen to provide live music by a quintet of musicians.

“…Come night, come Romeo, come thou night in day. For thou wilt lie upon the wings of night, whiter than new snow on a raven's back.
Come gentle night, come loving black brow'd night, give me my Romeo, and when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun. ” (Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, Act 3, Scene II)

After the show it is possible to arrange a “Milonga” in the theatre foyer for those who are keen on tango.
